A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a car on Hobart’s eastern shore early this morning.
Tasmania Police say a 25-year-old woman is currently in custody as investigations into the crash continue.

The woman allegedly drove a white Holden “at speed into the front yard of a house” on Bounty Street in Warrane at 1:12am on Friday, striking the 29-year-old man.
Police have confirmed the pair are known to each other.
The man was rushed by ambulance to the Royal Hobart Hospital for urgent treatment.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
