The Brooker Highway is closed in both directions at Goodwood after a crash on this afternoon.
Tasmania Police said the road is shut between Lampton Avenue and Howard Road while a power pole damaged in the crash is repaired.
The crash was first reported around 4:10pm, when one southbound lane was blocked. By 4:25pm the highway had closed completely.
Crews at the scene said the pole was significantly damaged and could fall over at any time.
The crash has knocked out power to 82 customers in Derwent Park, with TasNetworks estimating supply will be restored by midnight.

Motorists have been asked to expect delays, with significant traffic building in the northern suburbs.
“Motorists are asked to take an alternate route or obey diversions in place and anticipate delays,” police said.
