Two people have reportedly been injured after a car smashed through the front windows of a Launceston McDonald’s restaurant.
Emergency services were called to McDonald’s in the city’s south just before 10am on Wednesday to find the vehicle inside the store beside tables.
Police said one person inside the car and another within the restaurant suffered what are believed to be minor injuries.
A witness who was inside the store when the car came crashing in told Pulse she was “glad everyone was ok”.

“There was a gentle man sat just inside this window, thankfully [he] only got some scratches and the scare of his life,” she said.
“It could have been a lot more serious.”
