A man is in hospital after a crash that brought down powerlines near a petrol station in Burnie’s east.
River Road near Shell in Wivenhoe was shut just before 2pm on Thursday.

Police said a man who was in the vehicle involved has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
“Preliminary investigations have identified that he is most likely suffering from a medical condition not as a result of the crash,” police said.
“Motorists are asked to avoid that area until the scene has been cleared.”
