The expected crowd number for the Devils VFL clash with Carlton continues to climb, with the club now expecting a crowd of more than 13,000 at Ninja Stadium according to their ticket sales.
The ANZAC Day clash is set to break another record, of what was already a record-breaking start to the season.
The largest crowd in recent years at Ninja Stadium was in 2025 for an AFL match between North Melbourne and Gold Coast which drew 10,318.
A club spokesperson said the Devils are proud to see Tasmanians “show up in strong numbers” ahead of the fixture and encouraged fans still looking to attend to act fast.

“Ticket sales will be closed off at 5pm this afternoon, and there will be limited tickets available at the gate tomorrow,” the spokesperson said.
All tickets for the match are general admission, with seating open within the bay shown on each ticket.

The Devils drew what is believed to be their biggest home and away crowd for a VFL match in their round one fixture, and the club expects that record to fall again on Saturday.
Devils coach Jeromey Webberley said the atmosphere around the team had been building since the season opener.
“It’s awesome, isn’t it?” he said.
“I think we may have had the biggest home and away crowd for a VFL match ever in Round 1.”

“According to the club, it looks like we’re going to get more this weekend and break the record again.”
“It’s absolutely outstanding, the players are extremely excited for it.”
He said the squad had been eager to return to Hobart after an away fixture and a bye round.
“They’ve been speaking about Round 1 since Round 1,” he said.

“To come here … and put our footy on show in front of our home crowd is outstanding.”
“We’re really appreciative of the support so far from the Tassie community, not just in Hobart but in Launceston as well in Round 2.”
