Two people have been seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash that has closed the East Derwent Highway at Old Beach.
The crash happened near Cassidys Road, with police called to the scene around midday on Tuesday.

The highway is completely blocked and diversions are in place.
Police said the road would stay blocked for an “extended period”.
“Motorists are asked to avoid the area and make alternate travel arrangements until the scene is cleared,” police said.
