Three large hay bales tumbled off a trailer being towed by a white Prado on the South Arm Highway near Howrah this morning.
The bales fell from a trailer carrying six, landing on the road just past Shoreline Plaza on Hobart’s eastern shore at around 10am this morning.

A witness told Pulse the driver pulled over on the highway after the bales came loose.
“When I drove back home they had been moved to the side of the street,” he said.

“I assume they rolled them off of the road and that someone will be going to pick them up.”
He said it was not something you saw every day.

Police said they had not been notified of the incident.
