Hobart driver Campbell Logan will make his Supercars Championship debut after being named in Tickford Racing’s wildcard entry for the endurance season opener at The Bend in South Australia.

Logan, who was born and raised in Hobart and attended The Hutchins School, continues to call Tasmania home when not racing on the mainland.

The 22-year-old will partner fellow Tickford driver development program member Ben Gomersall in the opening round of the Ryco Enduro Cup.

He heads into the opportunity in career-best form, sitting second in the Super2 championship standings after claiming his first podium, race win and round win at the recent Darwin Triple Crown.

In Darwin, he beat fellow Tasmanian and title favourite Lochie Dalton off the line before fending him off to claim a dominant maiden victory.

The result saw Logan leap from 10th to second in the championship in the space of one weekend, and he now has his sights set on battling Launceston’s Dalton for the 2026 title.

Tickford Racing chief executive Simon Brookhouse praised Logan’s work ethic

“It’d be cool if it was a Tassie runaway show for the championship, it’s been a while since there’s been a good amount of Tasmanians coming through, but even in some of the younger categories there’s a good bunch coming through at the moment,” Logan said.

“There’s no reason why I can’t take it to him.”

Logan said the wildcard opportunity was a dream come true.

“I’ve always dreamed of racing in Supercars and to be able to finally debut in the main game alongside Ben Gommersall at The Bend truly is surreal,” he said.

“Since joining the team Campbell has demonstrated the commitment to his craft and it was great to see him achieve the results he did in Darwin,” Brookhouse said.

“He is well deserving of this opportunity and I have no doubt that utilising our experienced main game drivers will give him the best chance to get the most out of this Wildcard entry.”

Logan leapt from 10th to second in the championship after one weekend

Logan will work alongside experienced drivers Cameron Waters, Thomas Randle and Mark Winterbottom in the lead-up to the event.

The Bend event, scheduled for September 11 to 13, will mark Logan’s first Supercars Championship appearance.
