The house was fully engulfed when police and Tasmania Fire Service crews arrived a short time later.

Police had been ‘unable to contact’ the resident of the property following the fire, with further scene examinations conducted on Friday uncovering what investigators believe to be the individual.

“The cause of the fire is at this stage undetermined and investigations at the property are continuing,” police said.
