Tasmanian-born former Richmond star Jack Riewoldt has recreated his iconic grand final moment for the annual Big Freeze at the MCG.
In 2017, Riewoldt took centre stage after the Tigers’ AFL grand final victory, belting out Mr Brightside alongside The Killers.
To pay tribute to his grand final act, Riewoldt dressed as The Killers lead singer Brandon Flowers for his slide at Sunday’s The Big Freeze MND fundraiser game, raising funds for Motor Neurone Disease.
“I’ve been known as Mr Brightside for a long time and now I’m Mr Brightslide today,” Riewoldt told 7 before taking the plunge as AFL great Neale Daniher watched on.
He headed back to the ice-cold water to retrieve his wig after the slide before paying tribute to the Fight MND charity, speaking on the importance of conversations in combating the disease.
Jack Riewoldt is currently the club culture ambassador for the Tasmania Devils.
