A man in his 20s is in police custody after allegedly threatening a woman with a firearm at a Hobart hotel this afternoon.
The incident occurred at the Henry Jones Hotel on the city’s waterfront around 3:15pm.

Police say the man is believed to have used a gun to threaten a woman in one of the hotel rooms.
The woman managed to escape to safety before the man fled the building. He was arrested a short distance away on Liverpool Street.
The firearm was left behind in the hotel room where it was later recovered by police, a spokesperson said.
Tasmania Police said investigations into the incident are continuing.
The incident comes as thousands of people descend on the waterfront for the final night of Dark Mofo festivities.
