A 27-year-old man has been charged with more than a dozen offences after allegedly firing a shotgun at a vehicle during a disturbance in Blackmans Bay.
Police say the incident involved people who knew each other, and both parties left the scene before officers arrived.
Significant police resources were deployed in response, including specialist units and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The man, from Gardners Bay, was arrested near Blackmans Bay Beach after members of the public provided information to police.

Officers allege he was carrying a firearm when he was arrested, with two other firearms found nearby in a vehicle he’s charged with stealing.
No one was injured during the incident or the arrest.

The man faces a long list of charges including recklessly discharging a firearm, possessing a firearm without the appropriate licence, possessing shortened and stolen firearms, motor vehicle stealing, breach of bail, driving while disqualified and resisting a police officer.
He’s also been charged with possessing a controlled drug, possessing a controlled plant or its products, receiving stolen property, stealing and possessing ammunition without the appropriate licence.
Police thanked the community for their support and assistance in locating the man.
He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
