A man will face a murder charge tonight after a 48-year-old Railton man died in hospital following an alleged assault.
Emergency services were called to a private home at Railton shortly after 8:30am on Wednesday following reports a man had been assaulted.

Police said the alleged offender had left the scene before officers arrived.
A 42-year-old Tarleton man was arrested nearby a short time later and initially charged with carrying out an unlawful act intended to cause bodily harm.
The alleged victim was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital, where he died on Thursday evening.
Police have since upgraded the charge to murder.
The 42-year-old will appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court tonight.
