A man has died and a woman has been injured after crashing into a power pole in Launceston in the early hours of this morning.
The crash on Faraday Street in Ravenswood saw the car leave the road and collide with the pole around 3:20am on Monday.

Police say officers pronounced a 36-year-old male deceased at the scene, while a 36-year-old female was transported to Launceston General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Faraday Street has been closed between Magnet Street and Faulkner Road roundabouts while investigators continue to examine the cause of the crash.
