Tasmania’s West Coast is currently cut off from Hobart after a serious crash on the Lyell Highway this afternoon.
Police say the two-vehicle crash has closed the highway 4km West of Wayatinah, with one of the occupants involved in the accident reportedly sustaining serious injuries.

The Rescue Helicopter has been dispatched to the scene in order to provide emergency assistance to the injured person.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area as there will be significant delays.
It is unclear at this stage how many people were involved in the crash.
