More than 400,000 Tasmanians have enrolled to vote in this year’s state election as candidate nominations for those hoping to run close.
As of mid-February, 408,197 people were enrolled to vote in the March 23 election, a 3.49% increase from the 2021 state election when 394,432 electors were enrolled.

Voter turnout is estimated at 87,722 for Lyons, 83,875 for Braddon and 80,126 for Bass.
In the southern area of Franklin, 82,238 have registered and in Clark, the count stands at 74,236.
Tasmanian Electoral Commissioner Andrew Hawkey last week said that intending candidates had until noon today to lodge their nominations.
A full list of confirmed candidates from across the state will be announced at 12pm on Friday, March 1st.
