Rescue helicopter called to motorcycle crash on Arthur Highway

A rescue helicopter has been called to a crash on the Arthur Highway at Murdunna to airlift an injured motorcyclist to hospital.

The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, happened near Sommers Bay Road on the Tasman Peninsula, south of Dunalley, after 10am on Tuesday.

“The motorcycle rider is receiving assistance at the scene,” police said.

“The road is currently blocked and motorists are asked to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.”
