Southern Outlet crash blocks lane after car goes over barrier

A car has gone over a barrier in a crash on the Southern Outlet at Mount Nelson, blocking a lane of traffic heading towards Kingston.

Tasmania Police said emergency services were called to single vehicle crash just after 2:30pm on Thursday.

The crash occurred after the Mount Nelson turn-off on the Kingston-bound side of the road.

“The left-hand lane is currently blocked,” police said.

“Motorists are asked to avoid the area or anticipate delays until the scene is cleared.”
