Police and search personnel are facing treacherous weather conditions as they continue to search for a missing Belgian tourist who was last seen 10 days ago.
Celine Cremer hasn’t been seen since June 17 in Waratah, with the search currently focussed on the Philosopher Falls track area in the nearby remote North West national park.
Her car, a white Honda CRV with the registration E40TF, was found 500m up an unsealed road at the entrance to the track on Tuesday.
The park, known for its dense bushland and waterfalls, has posed challenges for the search teams, who have closed the Philosopher Falls walking track temporarily.
Snow has begun to fall in the area, which is preventing the rescue helicopter from assisting ground crews and drones in the search.
Anyone who has been in the Philosopher Falls carpark since 17 June is asked to contact police on 131 444 to advise if they saw Celine’s car in the area when they were there.
