Two men have been charged after an incident in Hobart’s northern suburbs on Saturday night, where a shot was fired at a house and a woman was allegedly assaulted.
Police say up to four men arrived at the Claremont property at about 11:50pm, with one allegedly armed with a shortened firearm.
A shot was fired at a window during the incident. In a separate altercation, a woman at the property was allegedly assaulted.
No one was seriously injured, police said.
The two men arrested, aged 37 and 43, both from southern Tasmania, have each been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and several other offences.

One man was arrested at Bellerive early on Sunday, while the second was taken into custody that afternoon.
Police are still searching for two other men who were in a black Holden Commodore station wagon at the time.
Detectives from Glenorchy Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), along with uniformed officers from Glenorchy, Bridgewater and Bellerive stations and specialist units, conducted searches on Sunday.
Police said all parties “were known to each other” and that there is “no threat” to the wider community.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
