A new laundromat in Bridgewater has been hit by repeated vandalism and theft, with its owners saying they’ve been “targeted by a group of teenagers on multiple occasions” since opening.
Loaded Laundry posted on a community social media page saying the teens had been vandalising the store and stealing laundry directly from customers.
“This disgraceful behaviour is unacceptable and a huge blow to our business and the people who rely on us,” the post said.
The owners said they had clear CCTV footage and images of those involved, and that all incidents had been reported to police with the footage handed over.

They asked anyone who recognised the teenagers in the images to contact them or Bridgewater Police Station directly.
“We want to keep Loaded Laundry a safe, clean environment for everyone,” the post said.

Footage showed a group of youths allegedly stealing a neon sign from the wall inside the laundromat.
Other footage showed a young girl allegedly stealing clothes from a laundry machine.
When contacted by Pulse, the owners said they were overwhelmed with community support but didn’t want to “amplify it any further” by commenting on it.
Police confirmed they’re investigating a report of damage at a laundry facility in Bridgewater on March 19 around 7:10pm.

A police spokesperson said officers are “following a specific line of enquiry to locate the people involved, believed to be teenagers.”
