Cricket Tasmania has unveiled its Tasmanian Tigers men’s squad for the 2026-27 season, headlined by the arrival of young gun Teague Wyllie from Western Australia.

Wyllie, a top-order batter, joins the Tigers on a one-year deal alongside fellow new signing Caelan Maladay.

Maladay earned his spot on the contracted list after a strong 2025-26 season in the CTPL and Tasmania’s Second XI.

Officials said Maladay is seen as a like-for-like replacement for Keiran Elliott, who left for Western Australia during the off-season.

Ben McDermott returns to the full-time contracted list after rejoining the side without a contract last season.

He’s expected to bring experience and leadership to Tasmania’s red-ball cricket setup.

Captain Jordan Silk will be a key figure in the Tigers upcoming season

Nikhil Chaudhary has also been added to the full-time contracted list for the first time, signing a two-year deal.

Chaudhary impressed across the Sheffield Shield and One-Day Cup last season and was named a finalist for the 2025-26 Ricky Ponting Medal.
