Prisoner charged with attempted murder at Risdon Prison

A 28-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at Risdon Prison. The prisoner allegedly injured another male inmate at around 6:15pm on Saturday. The victim was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the man is expected to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
