A man has sadly died after his truck crashed into a house in Launceston this morning.
Two occupants of a car also involved in the incident have been seriously injured and have been taken to the Launceston General Hospital for treatment.
De Bruyn’s, the trucking company involved, confirmed in a statement that the driver suffered a medical episode and passed away at the scene.
“This is a very upsetting day for our company and our thoughts are with everyone involved,” they said.
Police remain on the scene conducting crash investigations and will prepare a report for the coroner.

Truck slams into Tassie house, three seriously injured
A serious crash between a truck and a car has left three people seriously injured in Invermay, Launceston this morning.
According to Tasmania Police, emergency services were alerted to the incident on Goderich Street at around 6.50am.

Reports indicate that the truck involved in the collision veered off the road and crashed into a nearby house.
No one in the house was injured during the incident.
The truck driver and the two occupants of the car sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving medical attention.
It is not yet clear what caused the accident, and police are conducting investigations into the matter.

As a result of the incident, both the south bound and north bound lanes of Goderich Street have been closed.
Motorists are being advised to use alternative routes such as Vermont Road and Invermay Road to avoid traffic delays until further notice.
Police are working hard to clear the scene of the accident, but it is expected to take some time.
