Polling booths have closed across Tasmania’s Huon and Rosevears electorates, with a tense evening ahead for candidates vying for two Upper House seats.
Cost of living, health care, housing and the environment were among the top issues driving voters to the polls.
The greyhound racing ban also featured as a key concern for some heading to the booths.
In Rosevears, Liberal incumbent Jo Palmer cast her ballot with family by her side after months of doorknocking and campaigning.

She’s facing a challenge from Labor’s Ben McKinnon, a teacher, along with Greens candidate Charlene McLennan and independent Susan Monson.
In Huon, first-time Labor candidate Abby McKibben is hoping to turn the electorate red.

She is one of six candidates competing for the seat currently held by Independent Dean Harriss.
Independent candidate Clare Glade-Wright, who is the current deputy mayor of Kingborough, is seen as a serious contender.
Greens candidate Paul Gibson and independents Tyler Petersen and Michael Rowan are also in the running.
A clear winner in Rosevears is expected later tonight, but the result in Huon might not be known for another 10 days.
